God is seriously blowing me away...

Give up the illusion

So as I opened up my devotional for today this is what the first sentence said:

"Give up the illusion that you deserve a problem-free life. Part of you is still hungering for the resolution of all difficulties. This is false hope! As I told my disciples, in the world you will have trouble."

Sometimes what we want to hear from the Lord is not what he desires to tell us. I have learned this many times before but I needed to learn it again during this present situation. I am looking forward to the growth God has for me right now. And I am especially looking forward to the growth He has for allen and I as a husband and wife. AMEN.

What I was reminded of...

In the midst of our present situation, where heartache and anexity abound this is what I was reminded of last night:

• God is committed to praying for me
• God is conforming me to the image of His son
• God is using everying in our life for good. Every SINGLE thing
• God is for me- - If God is for me then who can be against me?
• God loves me, and its an unshakable and unstoppable love.
• God is bigger than right now.

Its a GIRL!

This is a picture of her when she was about 5 hours old! She is just so tiny!! Allen and I hung out with willy + laura in the delivery room before the baby came. We were celebrating Christmas with Allen's parents that night so we left to have dinner, hang out and open gifts! It was a lot of fun and nice to be around family. I was also dying to get back to the hospital because in the middle of "Christmas" dinner we got word that Laura had delivered a GIRL! After Christmas with the Morrison's we went back over to the hospital to see her and congratulate the new proud parents.

oh BABY!!

Welcome to the bright and shiny world Camilla Denise Layne. We all love you and have been waiting for your sweet arrival for a long time!

I am in LOVE with this baby girl. Some of our best friends, Willy + Laura had their baby on Friday night...the coolest thing, besides Camilla herself is that she shares the same birthday as her mom! We lived at the hospital this weekend and we loved it! What an amazing miracle life is and how beautiful it is in this baby!
