Baby Names

So here are a few baby names that I LOVE but am not planning on using.....

BOYS:
Caleb
Jack
Charlie
Hunter
Asher
John

GIRLS:
Olivia
Elizabeth
Autumn
Mckinley
Olive

But you know, I could change my mind on the way home from work or when I see the baby's face!

addicted and a list

A list of love, of things I am loving right now in random order:

1. olives
2. pickles
3. the idea of fall
4. breakfast for dinner
5. waking up late on Saturday
6. Our preachers sermons
7. hot chocolate
8. looking at baby stuff online
9. writing letters
10. catching up friends via emails (because it is so hard to find time somehow any other way)
11. getting to know our puppy's mellow side
12. my sweet husband

My MOST favorite thing of all though is feeling our baby move around. I can't even describe it except to say that it is purely joyful. I love this child already so much and I am so excited about that love abounding once we see his or her sweet little face.

My husband has gotten me addicted to something. That something is the show 24. I didn't even consider watching it when it was on regular nighttime TV but now, our netflix has become our cable. Good thing too because our cable company isn't worth the money. I started on season 3 and we are now starting season 5. Those writers really knew what they were doing. Its such a good show! Our weekend we spent a lot of time together hanging out, enjoying each others company and watching 24. It was time well spent!

thai food and a belly

So I attempted at showing a little belly today and I took the picture myself with my iphone so ignore the poor angles and quality. Here is the side view. 21 weeks.
Here is the : I am looking down view. 21 weeks.

So last night I met with one of my bestest friends ever and we enjoyed a meal of Thai food and delicious conversation. I choose edamame and coconut soup and my good friend had a small salad and masaman curry. We also had another dining companion, her 3 month old daughter, Hazel. Hazel has bright blue eyes and the cutest little arms and legs. She didn't want us to eat inside though, so we ate outside and enjoyed the breeze and Hazel's gnawing on her arms.

sweetness

Sweet Eli on one of our many road trips this summer. I swear that face can melt my heart even if he has just brought me a chewed up shoe from my closet.

Pictures to go with last post

I love the colors and the layering of textures. It seems like an escape bedroom...not masculine enough but totally gorgeous
how much more functional can you get!! I would love to have a room like this one day for our little kids running around. A girl can dream for sure :)

Getting comfortable

Looking forward to making this house more functional, comfortable and beautiful. I love our house but there is always a running list of things that fall on the "wish" list. Like re-painting our front porch because the dogs have scratched up the paint, the weather has damaged it somewhat and the was not newly painted when we bought our little love nest. Or changing out the ceiling fan in our "new" (more on that later) bedroom because it is modern looking with a brown finish and our bedroom furniture is white. Those are wish list items....

Non wish list items include: buying a guest bed because all we have are the box spring and mattress and I am not asking anyone to sleep basically on the floor. Painting the kitchen and the "new"bedroom colors that are more pleasing to our eyes. Looking for a comfortable recliner for our sweet pea's nursery, finding fabric to make curtains for the nursery and changing curtains around the house to accommodate the new arrival and our changing of rooms.

In the meantime I have been thinking about a new headboard for our bed (because the amazing one allen made was covered in lead paint so it is not currently inside our house) and I am really leaning towards a huge fabric covered headboard (totally DIY) or buying a beautiful four poster from surprisingly IKEA. Looking for inspiration i stumbled across these pictures on someone else's website (taking no credit) and thought they were amazing.

Exhausted

I am exhausted in every way imaginable.

Physically
Mentally
Emotionally
Spiritually

I need a re-charge that includes a Saturday of sleeping in and some time spent in the presence of the Lord.

Pink or Blue

So our 20 week ultrasound went amazingly well yesterday! What a blessing! Little baby was flexing its arms for us and puckering up its lips. It is amazing what you can see with an ultrasound!

Anyways, I know for sure that it is a GIRL or a BOY but don't know which one :) So we will find out in 2011! I am thinking boy for now but really only 2 people know. God and our ultrasound tech.

Hooray for Wednesday! Almost Friday I can make it!

Baby Kicks

I have had the joy of feeling little peanuts kicks since 16 weeks. The first time I felt them we were on vacation at a local coffee shop. Had I any doubt this child was half of allen, it was confirmed right then and there :) One of allen's great loves is coffee and so we got a kick out of that.

The next location was my all time favorite sushi bar (Fancy Q) and that is where the picture comes into play. Little baby was moving while we waited on dear friends to join us. It was so awesome. Since then I have felt the baby move more and more and I am hoping that it will be soon that allen can join in on the fun. The other morning I felt the baby move from one side to the next and that was a trip!

1st Day of School

Welcome back 6th graders!! Wahooo! We have a TON of students this year.....there are pros and cons to that :)

Our classroom is filled with 45 students for EACH class....now only if we could find a way to fit 45 student desks in the classroom.

I am totally loving my back to school outfit today. Olive green top with ruched sleeves, dark brown pants and new bronze metallic shoes with a ruffle across the toes. I have some gold bangles that mom gave me as a Christmas gift and a black and gold owl necklace!! Yay, plus the baby looks totally adorable under that army green top....

Have a great day!

To all Romeos......

I have decided that one of my most favorite things is to see men in the grocery store carrying around a bouquet of flowers. Last night in a short publix run, I saw a sweet older man carrying around a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers. Who knows who they were for, but it just melted my heart.
